Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
Israeli airplanes fired a drone missile at some
citizens near the Finance Ministry in Tal
Alhawa to the southwest of Gaza. This led to the
martyrdom of 40-year-old Ahmad Abu Amra
and Nabil Ahmad Abu Amra, 28.
19. Testimony of Wafaa Abu Amra, 34, Wife of
Martyr Ahmad:1
My husband and his cousin Nabil went to
their aunt’s house to check on her. My kids and I
were preparing ourselves to sleep when we heard a
very strong explosion.
Trying to calmmy kids down, I was shocked
when my 9-year-old son, said that the man in the TV
mentioned his dad’s name as a martyr! I rushed to
listen to the news to be certain about what Isaw. My
husband and his cousin were dead. I fainted, feeling
dizzy and weak, not believing what I saw.
I only regained my consciousness when
neighbours and friends came over to my house
to console me. It was so hard on me to bear such
burden of raising my kids alone. I only pray to God
to help me bear the burden and that my husband
rests in peace.
20. Testimony of Etaf, 23, Wife of Martyr Nabil:2
That night, Nabil went out with his cousin
while my kids were sleeping. He called me to tell
that he was fine and that he will not be late.
