2. Testimony of Zakaria Al Serhy, 20, House

At 3:00 am, my family and I were sleeping
in the house when all of a sudden we heard a lot of
noise outside the house. I looked from the window
to see what was going on. I saw women and children
from Al-Khuly family screaming out so loud and
leaving the house as they talked about Israel’s plan
to shell the house.
I asked one of the women what was wrong,
and she told me the whole story! Going back to my
family, I told them that the Israeli Shabak called our
neighbours and asked them to evacuate as they were
going to target their house. I told my family to hurry
up and evacuate so quickly as well, as our house
was very close. We were all in the street with Al
Khuly family.
Our neighbour’s house was destroyed,
two apartments in our house were destroyed
belonging to me and my father. In addition, my
father’s workshop and my small hair salon were all
destroyed. Destroying the stores, I thought how my
family could make a living, especially that we were
50 family members! God help us bear the burden.
