Around 12:30 pm, an Israeli warplane fired a
missile towards a citizen while standing near
‘Star’ Factory in Salahedeen Street, eastern
Gaza, and killing 22-year-old Mohammad
Mahmoud Yasin.
15. Testimony of Alamiya Yaseen, 60, mother of
martyr:1
The night before my son was killed, he
came back home so late by dawn of the next day! I
knew he was late because he worked in the Security
and Protection Department at Jenin Hospital.
30 minutes after his arrival, I prepared
breakfast and asked him to join. ‘I have no appetite,
mom. I can eat nothing.’
Trying to create a conversation, I asked him
about the reason of not being able to eat. He started
telling me about Ayman Sleem who died while he
was carrying him! ‘I collected his flesh with my
own hands!’ my son told me.
When he went back to his house to see his
wife and kids, I felt better as I was sure he was fine
and nothing could have happened to him. After a
short while, I learned about his martyrdom in front
of his house!
So hard to believe, I was not even
able to make any reaction. The only idea I had
in mind was the fact that I had given birth to
Mohammed after 10 girls- that he was my only son!
Israel extracted him. Israel stole my heart.
