son were in the early morning when he came to
my house asking about our news and checking on
us. He was accompanied by his little Anas, whose
smiles and jokes filled the place. After some hours
of Mahmoud’s departure, I heard the sound of the
explosion. I went out to hear some people talking
about someone’s death. I heard my son and my
grandchild’s names! I hurried up to his house to find
him lying on the ground surrounded by blood. I pray
he rests in peace.
14. Testimony of Khadeeja Abu Khater, mother
of martyr Abdullah:1
Abdullah prayed the Dawn prayer in the
mosque as he always used to do, and went out to
work in our neighbor’s farm to feed the chickens. It
was not so long before he got a call from his friend,
Mahmoud Abu Khate, asking him to meet. They
met. They chatted. They died!
While with Mahmoud, my son was killed
with his friend by an Israeli drone missile. It was the
end of my son’s life. Israel has to pay for killing my
son.
