5. Testimony of Safaa Darweesh, Mother of
martyr Ashraf:1
During the Israeli aggression, Ashraf used
to stay outside the house. The day he was killed,
however, he stayed at home! Early in the morning,
he left.
Minutes later, the news of his killing
shocked us! Ashraf was a man with good manners
that all loved. He had always felt he would be a
martyr one day. He used to ask me not to shed a tear
if I lose him; and not to feel sad. It was a catastrophe
losing him. I only pray to God to accept him as a
martyr.
Around 8:30 am, Israeli airplanes fired two
missiles at two youths walking in Rafah, southern
Gaza, killing 37-year-old Mukhles Edwan and
injuring 37-year-old Husam El-Hams. Husam’s
wound was so serious that he died soon after.
6. Testimony of Salwa Edwan, wife of martyr
Mukhles:2
On the fourth day of the aggression in
the morning, my husband Mukhles and his friend
Husam went out to their work. When a drone missile
injured my husband, his friend tried to save him.
Unfortunately, a second missile was fired towards
Husam, my husband’s friend, killing him. When the
ambulance arrived, my husband was already dead.
