At around 2:41 pm, a missile was fired at
Mahmoud Abu-Khousa, 14, in Al-Manara
neighbourhood middle Gaza City, while he was
on his way home, which led to his direct death.
8. Testimony of Heba Abu-Khousa, 24, sister of
Martyr Mahmud:1
During the offensive, Mahmud decided
to invest his time in studying. He opened his bag,
brought out his books, but did not find the pen. He
went to buy a new one and did not know that that
pen would be the reason for his death.
9. Testimony of Mohamad Abu-Khousa,
Brother of Martyr Mahmud:2
When I heard the airstrike, I hurried out
to see what happened. I saw Mahmud lying on the
ground. He was injured. I unconsciously carried
him to the hospital. On our way, he looked at me,
smiled, sighed and… I tried to save him. I really
tried my best but alas! He took his last breath in
front of me. I saw him dying in my arms!
