Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
house because I lived in Al Mughraqa, which was
a dangerous area. And because I was in my ninth
month of pregnancy, I really needed a safer place to
stay in.
After five days, while in my family’s house,
an airstrike happened causing a so huge explosion.
Sometime later, I received a call informing me about
my husband’s injury!
I did not know what my reaction could be had my
brother not hidden the truth and told me my husband
was killed. I was left until the next day without
knowing the truth of my husband’s martyrdom.
The morning of the next day, my brother
gave me a ride to my house. When we arrived, he
stopped me, looked me in the eyes and said, ‘Listen!
You hear me? I’m sorry for this, but… You might
never see your husband again. Go inside now.
People are waiting for you. They came to console
you.’ He hugged me tightly and let me go in.
That was the hardest thing that happened to
me in my lifetime. I gave birth to Rami after my
husband was killed. I wish he rest in peace.

When the aggression started, I stayed in my
family’s house because I lived in a dangerous area.
On the last day of the aggression, I heard the news
that a house in the area where I lived was shelled.
After some time, while in my family’s house, I
learned that it was my house, and I knew that my
