Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
Nearly at 4:20 pm, Israel fired two missiles at
Media office on the first floor of Al-Shorooq
Tower in Al-Remal neighbourhood in the
middle of Gaza city leading to the martyrdom
of Ramez Najeeb Harb, 34, from Al-Shejaya
neighbourhood. It led also to the destruction of
the office and caused damages to most offices and
media associations in the tower. Three citizens
were wounded.
18. Testimony of Maha Harb, 29, Wife of Martyr
Ramez:1
I was in my family’s house that is close to
Al-Shorooq Tower, in Remal area, middle of Gaza
city, when I heard the strike, I stood on the window
and saw ambulances and young men transferring
injured people and martyrs. My brother’s wife came
next to me and said, ‘Maha, they say Ramez was
injured.’ I didn’t even expect nor did I imagine that
he could be injured!
I took my cell phone to call him and check
on him, but before I called, my father came to the
room and said, ‘Your husband was injured and his
injury became worse. I am sorry for your husband,
dear. I am so sorry.’
I collapsed the moment I was told he was
gone. I and my three kids Obayda,Ahmed and Omar,
went back home. I do not know how to answer my
five-year-old son when he asked, ‘When will I see
my dad? Where? How?’ He misses his father a lot!
Ramez wasn’t a typical father and a typical
husband only. He was a compassionate spouse, a
compassionate father. He used to take care of the
slightest details of the family. He was amazing.
