Around 7:25 pm, Israel fired a missile towards
the house of Fouad Khaleel Hijazi, 46 years,
northern Abu Hussain schools in Jabalia Camp
leading to a complete destruction of the house,
killing him, in addition to two of his children:
Mohammed, 4, and Sohaib, 2. Seven of the house
residents were injured; four children and two
women were amongst them. Wounds of two of
them were described as critical. 13 citizens were
injured as well from the people of the same area.
22. Testimony of Mostafa Hijazi, 20, Son of
Martyr Fouad:1
On the sixth day of the attack on the
Gaza Strip, our house was directly bombed by
an F16 missile without a warning! This led to the
martyrdom of my dad. My brothers Mohammed and
Sohaib were playing on bicycle next to my father,
and the rest of the family was busy watching the
news to be surprised by the bombing of our house.
After we were certain of my father and my
two brothers’ martyrdom, we found that my mother
was wounded, but we were not able to move. She is
now in Cairo getting treatment as her injury is critical
with fractures in the shoulder and concussion.
The rest of the family members were, too,
injured with different wounds. I was wounded. My
injury was in my head, which made me un-capable
of going with my mother in her treatment journey.
There was no site for resistance next to our
house to be targeted. I bet! My father used to work
as a watchman in one of the schools and was not
part of any resistance faction! Why to target our
house and to destroy it! Why!
