7:00 am with his friend Tamer to work at selling
groceries. 15 minutes later, Israeli warplanes
bombed Tamer’s car. As Amen was with him, he
was injured by shrapnel and was still bleeding.
Ameen had two daughters. His wife gave
birth to them after eight years of marriage. Batool,
5, and Leen, 3, who had to be raised without a father.
I will do my best to make sure they have a good life.
The last thing he said to me was, ‘Do you
want me do anything mom? Pray for me.’ I never
knew these words were going to be his last.
11. Testimony of Ghalia Abu Amra, 50, Wife of
Martyr Rasheed:1
My husband works in agriculture. Monday
morning, 19th Nov 2012, he went to his land for
work. On his way home, he found no taxi to take him
due to the horrible situation, but the sons of Bashir
family, who also were in their land and wanted to
leave, drove him back. Ten minutes later, the car
they were driving was hit and all were martyred.
Receiving such news, I was not, really, able
to control myself! It was a shock to me. How it
would feel to lose your 35-year-old life companion!
I pray he rests in peace.
Nearly at 8:20 am, an Israeli warplane fired
a missile towards a land next to the house of Al-
Astal family, western Khan-Younis, southern Gaza.
This led to the martyrdom of Omar Mohmoud Al-
Astal, 16, and Ibrahim Mohammed Al-Astal, 40.
