Israel Kills
Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
20. Testimony of Harbi Abu Kmail, 45, Father of
MartyrArkan:1
My son Arkan went out as Aser payer was
getting near with his friend Ibrahim Al-Hawajri. An
hour later, we heard a sound of explosion in a land
close to the house followed by calls and screams
People who were near went to the source of the
sound. Smoke was rising from between the trees
in the land, and it never came to my mind that my
son was there. 15 minutes later, the sounds of the
loudspeakers in mosques started calling the names
of martyrs. My son was one of them. Then I went to
Al Aqsa Hospital in Dair Al-Balah and knew that he
was killed immediately. I prayed to God to accept
him as a martyr, knowing that Arkan was married
and had two children: Harbi, 4, and Islam, 3.
21. Testimony of Rana Al-Hawajri, 27, Sister of
Martyr Ibrahim:2
On Monday morning, my son woke up as
usual and went out to do Dawn Prayer. He came
back and had his own stuff done. He sat with us for
nearly an hour and a half and it was like a farewell.
He went out later and never came back.
When the bombing took place, I felt that
he was in danger as he works in the military as
lieutenant. Half an hour later, we received the news
of his martyrdom. My mother could not handle the
news and fell down saying, ‘God is all I need; He is
my guardian. God be with you, son.’
