All I remember that my husband was at
home and suddenly rushed out and got into his
friend’s car. They left. I didn’t even have the time to
ask where he was going to. I thought it was going to
be a short ride and he would come back quickly as
usual, but it was night already and he did not show
up.
The power was off that we were not able to
follow the news. I was so worried.
Next morning, his brother went out to look
for him. Not finding him nearby, he went to the
hospital to know about his death there.
‘They killed him!’ he told us after he came back
home an hour later. I actually needed some time to
understand what he was saying! Why! Why did that
happen!
I have two kids, Islam, a one-year-old girl,
and Anas, a four-year-old boy. After knowing that
there daddy would never come back, they kept
asking me to let them go see their dad! I told them
what death meant and what Israel did to their dad.
‘I want to grow up so quickly to bring weapons and
fire them at Israel! I want to kill them as they killed
dad,’ Anas would tell me every day.
