Families Targeted by Israeli Terror in 2012
Around 5:40A.M, an Israeli warplane attacked a
group of people in Al- Manara neighborhood, to
the West of Khan Younis by two drone missiles.
This led to the death of three of them after being
injured by debris. The three martyrs were: Habes
Hasan Mesmeh, 29, Wael Haider Al-Ghalban,
26, and Hesham Mohammad Al-Ghalban, 26.
1. Testimony of Khansa Mesmeh, 27, Wife of
Martyr Habes:1
During Operation Pillar of Defence at dawn,
my husband, Habes, went to the mosque for al Fajer
Prayer. After staying there to read some verses of
the Quran, he went to meet his friends Wael and
Hesham Al-Ghalban. As my husband intended to
leave his two friends, a drone missile was fired at
them; Habes’ two friends died. At that moment, my
husband tried to save himself by hiding behind an
olive tree. There, he tried to call an ambulance to
save his friends –before knowing that they have
already been killed. Impatiently, he rushed out to
reassure his friends and try to rescue them. Only
then did he face his destiny being struck by another
drone missile to join his other friends.

Last night, the night of his martyrdom,
Hesham stayed the night at Wael Al-Ghalban’s
house and went with him to perform Dawn Prayer
