17. Testimony of Mona Abu Jalal, 48, mother of
martyr Ziad:1
Ziad was a farmer. That evening, he went
to sit with his uncles Ahmed Abu Jalal, Amjad Abu
Jalal and their friend Hassan Al- Hmala in a nearby
land for chatting. At 8:15 pm, an Israeli drone
missile was fired at them killing all
Ziad was a civilian who had nothing to
do with any political issues,. There is no excuse
for targeting him. Ziad was killed with two of his
uncles and a friend. I don’t know what the hell Israel
thinks it is doing! I pray they rest in peace.
18. Testimony of Neama Al-Hmala, 58, mother
of martyr Hassan:2
Sunday afternoon, Hassan came back home
and asked for lunch. He had lunch while standing.
I asked him to have a seat, but he said he was in
a hurry; his friends were waiting for him to go to
their land together. I was afraid because it wasn’t
safe outside. So I asked him to take great care and
not to be late. He said he would and left.
After 8:00 pm, a powerful explosion shook
the area. One hour later, they told me about his
martyrdom. Hassan was a lovely son to me. It was
so hard to lose a son. But Thanks God, I received
the news with patience.
